Double exposure
You may think that tanning indoors and tanning outdoors are different activities. But when the skin reaches the burning point, it will burn, whether the ultraviolet light was received from the sun or a tanning unit.
Indoor tanning is designed to give you a sub-burning dosage of UV light. Getting outdoor exposure, too, during that same 24 to 48 hour time period is likely to result in overexposure and sunburn.
For this reason, it’s important to tell your salon operator how much you’ve been outside each time that you come in to tan — especially during the summer when we all enjoy more sunshine.
The trained tanning professionals at this salon take care in setting an exposure time that will allow you to tan properly.
